Rivertown is a neighborhood in Mayani, Florida, just northwest of Downtown and to the west of Baywater. Rivertown is a light industrial neighborhood that is mostly runned down, it is also one of the unsafest neighborhoods in Mayani. It's boundaries are between Diego Road and to just behind Bayfront Boulevard. Rivertown is based on the real-life Miami neighborhood of Overtown.
History[]
Rivertown was firstly developed in 1892. Several factories was established in the area and Rivertown became a large workplace for about 30% of the population until the 1940's. As companies looked for cheaper workspace in other parts of the world and the need for the production factories and warehouses became deserted, so did the neighborhood, and by 1978, most of the neighborhood was abandoned and it became a major hub for drugs trade and prostitution.
